  What are the most popular baby girl names of 2016? Here we highlight the Top 25, from Number 1 Emma to newcomers Riley and Aria to the traditional Elizabeth, hanging in at Number 13. The popular names for girls this year featured some major changes, with Ava, for example, moving in to the Top 3 for the first time and Madison, which rose as high as Number 2 a few years back, tumbling down to Number 15. Yet many of the most popular baby girl names stayed the same, with recent favorites such as Emma, Sophia, Olivia, and Isabella remaining near the top of the popularity list.
